Bedford's poetry and spoken word open mic enters its second full season, now alternating third Wednesday/Thursday in the month (No December session). Now with guest readers at most events, but still plenty of open mic time, sign up on the door.

Our first guest of the season is the wonderful Jacqueline Saphra - winner of the Ledbury competition in 2007, her collection The Kitchen of Lovely Contraptions (Flipped Eye 2011) was nominated for the Aldeburgh first collection prize. Jacqui co-hosts the monthly 'Shuffle' reading at the Poetry Cafe and has been resident poet at Good Housekeeping Online!
