This October, boutique furniture company Barker & Stonehouse is throwing an evening of literary treats in their bibliophilically bedecked showroom in Battersea. Live literature curator Penned in the Margins is bringing three stellar poets – Siddhartha Bose, Simon Barraclough and Sarah Hesketh – to present intimate, ambulatory performances of their work.

From Mumbai to London, with a few chapters in the United States, SIDDHARTHA BOSE is a poet with a multifaceted identity. Trained as an actor, Bose performs much of his poetic work on stage, including his solo show Kalagora and upcoming show The Shroud.

SIMON BARRACLOUGH balances himself between writing – two collections published with Salt and a pamphlet with Penned in the Margins – and developing multi-media events, such as Psycho Poetica for the BFI, Royal Festival Hall and The Whitechapel Gallery, and The Debris Field, an exploration of the Titanic for the 100th anniversary of its sinking.

SARAH HESKETH’s poetry has found an audience in magazines and anthologies such as The White Review and Soundings, and her debut collection was published by Penned in the Margins. She is currently Events and Publications Manager for the Poetry in Translation Centre.
