In Poetry Library, level 5, Royal Festival Hall
Etruscan Books presents an evening of short readings by Carlyle Reedy, Stuart Montgomery, John Hall, Helen Macdonald and Nicholas Johnson. There will also be a film by Tom Pickard and a contribution by Roy Fisher in absentia.
Etruscan Books grew out of the 6 towns poetry festival (1992-97) in Stoke-on-Trent. Roy Fisher was its patron. Its work represents a continuum of the way of bookmaking by presses like Fulcrum, Goliard and Grosseteste.
The books are still sewn on good papers, and give attention to spatiality, experiment and the lyric.
