Power Plant is Apples and Snakes' series of free poetry masterclasses delivered by established practitioners, designed to cover every facet of life as a performance poet, from writing and performance techniques to the intricacies of successful freelancing.
If you are considering 'This year I will do a show at the Fringe' as your new year's resolution, this could be the masterclass for you. Poetry has boomed at Edinburgh in the last five years, meaning that the time has never been better for spoken-word artists to try their luck there.
Today you can hear the lowdown from experienced Fringers on such thorny topics as publicity, finances and simply what makes a good show. Suitable for first-timers in search of a little Fringe-demystification.
Entry: FREE
Time: 10:00am
