Features this month:
Ivy Alvarez was born in the Philippines, raised in Australia and became a British citizen in 2010. Her poetry has been published internationally in anthologies, journals and new media, and translated into Russian, Spanish, Japanese and Korean. Her new book ‘Disturbance’ is a novel in verse that chronicles a multiple homicide, a tragic case of domestic violence, where a family was gunned down by the husband/father…a disturbing and brave book.
Jill Abram is a veteran of the spoken word scene in London and across England, and has had poetry published in a number of magazines and journals. She is also Director of the Writers’ Collective Malika’s Poetry Kitchen, and a member of Tideway Poets. She makes a welcome return to Loose Muse.

This is always a great evening.
Agnes seems to find a wide range of talent, of invariably good standard international and British writers. Her manner is bright and welcoming and the floor poets are definitely made to feel at home
