The Sky show is a poetry/comedy/theatre show about the sky and the things in it; you know, clouds, birds, weather etc. This show is suitable for people who have seen the sky and enjoy looking up. Following on from last year's Yellow Show, a show about the colour yellow ‘Dave Funniest Joke of the Edinburgh Fringe 2013 Winner’ Rob Auton turns his attention to the sky.
Rob Auton has been standing up on poetry/comedy and theatre stages up down and across the British isles for the past five years. He has performed his work at a variety of venues including Tate Britain, Glastonbury and Soho Theatre, had film adaptations of his poetry played on Channel 4 and aired on 6 music by Jarvis Cocker. In 2013 he had his first collection of poetry and illustrations ‘In Heaven the Onions make you Laugh’ published by Burning Eye books.
In 2012 he took his debut show about the colour yellow up to the Edinburgh Fringe where Kate Copstick from the Scotsman described it as “Exactly the sort of show you should see at the Fringe; you will carry the memory with you for a long, long time.” And the Independent named Rob as “a talent to watch.” In 2013 Rob took his show about the sky up to the Edinburgh Fringe and performed it to capacity crowds to the acclaim of critics and audiences alike. “Crammed with beauty and vivid imagination.” Fringe Guru, “We need him” The Scotsman.
Featuring support from superb local poets SKY HAWKINS and AIDAN CLARKE, and music from the fabulous, SIMMA.
