Born in Netherton, Dave Reeves is currently poet-in-residence to the Black Country Living Museum. His book/cd publication Black Country Dialectics (Offa's Press) is a journey 'into the culture and the dialect of the Black Country ... full of laughter, pathos and the kind of natural surrealism that runs through the area where he was born,' and has been critically acclaimed in the UK and Europe.
In a lively performance of his work, subtitled 'Netherton Is What I Think With', he will explore the Black Country's contribution to the Wild West, the Titanic's anchor, Victorian quirkiness and the chaos of spoken dialect. Expect props, music, humour and pathos in amongst the poetry.
A writer, performer and historian who has toured performances of his writing throughout the UK and Europe for the last 30 years, Dave hosts re.Lit, the live online literature programme for the internet radio broadcaster RadioWildfire.com
