William Sieghart, founder of the Forward Poetry Prize, National Poetry Day and author of WINNING WORDS, will be administering poetry prescriptions to the poetically malnourished at Liverpool Central Library on the 24 February 2014, from 6.00pm - 8.00 pm. A full list of contra-indications will be supplied.
The Poetry Pharmacy will then give each patient relevant poems to take home with clear dosage instructions. These poems will help patients to see the miraculous in the commonplace and turn the everyday into the exceptional – medication for successful life survival.
The Pharmacist, William Sieghart, has had a distinguished career in publishing and the arts. For many years he was a member of the Arts Council and Chairman of its Lottery Committee. William is Chairman of the Arts Foundation, StreetSmart and Forward Arts Foundation. He is a Trustee of Free Word, Reprieve and the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. William is also the founder and Chairman of Forward Thinking.
The consultation is free of charge and will take place in the Meeting Room on Floor 4 of Liverpool Central Library
