ArtfulScribe and Apples & Snakes South East Present: INTERNATIONAL WOMAN
SCREAM POETRY FESTIVAL ft. Rosy Carrick

In aid of International Women's Month, ArtfulScribe and Apples and Snakes
South East have teamed up with International Woman Scream Poetry Festival
to celebrate!

Woman Scream is a non-profit event which runs globally through March each
year and aims to promote voices of those who have been abused through the
medium of literature.

Come and enjoy an evening of local and national poetry, music, film and
art, engage with artists and perhaps share your own Scream moments on the
open mic.

Headliner: ROSY CARRICK

Candid, eccentric and decidedly left-field, Rosy Carrick's acidic wit, dense rhyme structures and forceful imagery have won her international acclaim, as well as firmly cementing her place as one of the UK's most unusual and exciting contemporary performance poets.

Host of Brighton Hammer and Tongue, one of the UK's largest spoken word & slam events, she also co-manages and comperes cult movie-themed club extravaganza Trailer Trash!, and performs her poetry at events and festivals around the country, leaving a trail of bewildered lovestruck fools in her wake. Watch at your peril!

Carrie Bluestocking is a reader turned writer whose internal rhyming is like unto a pileup of lorries containing, respectively, mouth-plums and jam, and whose pronunciation is like unto a jar of soundbites from a freakshow in a bucket of bookmarks." ANGELA CHICKEN
Angela Chicken started writing while recuperating from an operation and surprised herself. She is interested in people and the things they say, but has been known to delve into other poetry staples like trees and stars and such. She has performed in London and the South East and is currently having a ball collaborating with poets, musicians and artists and doing exciting things like performing in schools, gardens and people's lounges.
