The Mirriam Allott Visiting Writers Series at the University of Liverpool presents international and local literary voices in the dynamic setting of the University?s School of the Arts. From hard-hitting journalists to highly-acclaimed novelists and poets, this series aims to engage with Liverpool's vast cultural and literary heritage as an international city of grand dimensions. Literary pasts and futures will dramatically align - from Trinidad to Paris to India to the mysterious world of London journalism and the postcolonial legacies of slavery. Wine will be served. Places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment

International emerging poets Vahni Capildeo (Trinidad), Kate Kilalea (South Africa) and Karthika Nair (France/India) read from their powerful work that extends the tradition of English language poetry into the 21st Century! Q&A and wine reception to follow.
