An Evening with Owen Sheers

A rare chance to hear the celebrated Welsh poet, author and TV presenter Owen Sheers read from his award-winning poetry collections.The Blue Book, Skirrid Hill and verse drama Pink Mist. Owen wrote and presented for BBC TV the six-part series A Poet's Guide to Britain (2009). He has been a Writer in Residence at the Wordsworth Trust, selected as a Poetry Society Next Generation Poet, and is currently the first Artist in Residence for the Welsh Rugby Union. His novel Resistance (Faber, 2007) has been translated into 10 languages and adapted as a film (2011) and The Dust Diaries, a travel memoir, won the prestigious Wales Book of the Year in 2005. Last year Owen was awarded the Hay Medal for Poetry.
