Bringing you poetry and spoken word performances so good they'll make you rock out like a transdimensional space goat, at a slightly different time this month as we have moved house to the lounge in Taurus Bar.

As usual open mic slots are available to anyone who wants one, entry is free and we've got some cracking guests lined up to say some stuff that will turn you into a goat for the evening.

Headlining for this month we have the fantastic MATTHEW NICHOLSON and STEPHEN JAMES.

"Matthew arrived on the spoken word scene at the start of 2014 after reading in Halifax for the first time. His works, whether in poem or story form, cover a variety of subjects,
including childhood, injustices, relationships, equality and depression among others. Sometimes funny, sometimes filthy, often sweary. He is honest, powerful, hairy, bearded and definitely Northern."

The man behind Spoken Word Showcase (a poetry and music event which currently takes place at the Cresent in Salford), Stephen James began writing some time ago, but has only just begun uttering his scribblings of poetry, prose and ramblings out loud.
