Please join us as we close the Foyles Grand Opening Festival with an evening of readings by novelists DEBORAH LEVY and GREG BAXTER, playwright BENEDICT ANDREWS and poet SAM RIVIERE.

The event takes place in the new auditorium at the revamped Foyles bookshop on Charing Cross Road.

DEBORAH LEVY writes fiction, plays and poetry. Her novel Swimming Home was shortlisted for the 2012 Man Booker Prize. Her work has been staged by the Royal Shakespeare Company, and she is the author of numerous books, including the essay Things I Don't Want to Know (Notting Hill Editions). Her work is published in issues 4 and 8 of The White Review.

SAM RIVIERE co-edits the anthology series Stop Sharpening Your Knives, and is currently working towards a PhD at the University of East Anglia. He was a recipient of a 2009 Eric Gregory Award, and his first collection, 81 Austerities, was published in 2012 by Faber & Faber.

GREG BAXTER was born in Texas in 1974. He lived for a number of years in Dublin, and now lives in Berlin. He is the author of two previous highly acclaimed books: A Preparation for Death, a memoir, and The Apartment, a novel. An excerpt from his forthcoming novel Munich Airport (Penguin Ireland) was published in issue 10 of The White Review.

BENEDICT ANDREWS is an Australian theatre and opera director now resident in Iceland. This year, his first collection of poetry Lens Flare will be published by Pitt Street Poetry in Australia and his first volume of plays by Oberon Books in the UK. His short fiction Geronimo featured in issue 10 of The White Review.
