Award-winning poet Simon Armitage will be preforming readings at the Porthminster Gallery, St Ives on Thursday 7 August to celebrate the launch of his new book 'Paper Aeroplane: Poems 1989 - 2014'.

Tickets are £7 per person, with £3 redeemable against purchase of the book on the night. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.


Due to limited seating, there will be two sittings on the evening limited to just 30 places each:

First sitting: 6.30 – 7.30pm

Second sitting: 8.30 – 9.30pm

Tickets are available from the gallery. Places are limited. First come, first served!

This will be an intimate evening with one of the nation’s most original and respected poets. The readings will also offer the opportunity of purchasing the new book before the official release date on 4th September 2014 and with £3 from every ticket remeedable against the cost. 'Paper Aeroplane: Poems 1989 – 2014' is the Simon Armitage’s own selection of poems from across a quarter-century of work, from his spectacular debut ‘Zoom!’ to the latest, uncollected work, drawing upon all of his best-loved poetry collections.
