We're back in September bringing you yet more spoken word performances that'll reach into your soul and awaken your dormant inner psychedelic farm animal (or sommat).
As usual we've got a stellar line up of truly transdimensional headliners for you to rock out to. And they are...
Keiron Higgins
"Born of a little town that had a development in the use of the guillotine, Keiron Higgins best describes himself as a shape-shifter (as he shares Jamaican and Irish heritage) performing a hard bitten poetic punk with a tongue of lyrical eccentricity to point out the good and bad things in his life. On a daily basis he battles dyspraxia, oppression, depression and any given alcoholic beverage at hand. He cites himself as a cross between John Lydon, Travis Bickle and Mickey Pearce. When not inappropriately crashing musical open mic nights without instruments, he draws cartoons and makes music. He wants your ears."
Clara Arriage
"Miss C. Arriage Enjoys herself as much as others do. She is a poet, comic and bitch-hiker on the motorway of life who sleeps with the lights on and nothing else. Clara loves tea and bad language."
Midnight Shelley
"Midnight Shelley is a place hopping spoken word artist, who has been speaking her words into mirrors long before she knew there was a name for what she did. Now she speaks her secrets on stages rather than to herself, summons storms, and knocks over the occasional mic stand. Her performances have been described as 'shamanic'- though it wasn't actually a compliment. She describes them as making love. She hates writing bios, and she loves you. Every single one of you."

We also have open mic slots of 5 minutes available, should you so wish to dazzle us with your own wonderful words. Or, just simply sit back and enjoy being part of a lively, supportive audience enjoying a resplendent evening of spoken word shenanigans.
We're based in the downstairs lounge of Taurus Bar, where entry for the night is FREE.
*
"TSG is inclusive, warm, vibrant and eclectic. It's a pressure-free zone for performers on every level of experience to share their work, and its position at the top of Canal Street is perfect for a night that screams "we're here, we've got beer and our love of verse is severe". If poetry is the new rock n'roll, then TSG is a mix tape which John Peel would have made and played relentlessly." - Geneviève L. Walsh.
"I think it might have been born out of the ashes of Rockworld and the dream of what the village should have been." - Jackie Hagan.
Price: £0.00
Time: 7:30
