a lecture-recital on the First World War poetry of Albert-Paul Granier

Ian Higgins, translator of the poems, will read a wide selection of them.

Granier's remarkable poetry lay unread for nearly 90 years until it was found in a jumble sale in 2008. The poems have been acclaimed in France and published in English for the first time this year in Ian Higgins' "Cockerels and Vultures" (Saxon, 2014).
