A fantastic night organised by The Writers' Cafe to raise funds for the Star and Shadow Cinema, showcasing some of the best writers, songwriters, screenwriters and DJs in the North East.

All proceeds to the Star and Shadow.

Hosted by Jenni Pascoe of Jibba Jabba, Asa Maddison of Best Bitter and Craig Wilson of basicfm.

5-6pm Short films including award winning Sleepworking by Gavin Williams, The Secret by Andrew Leckonby, Between you and me by Laura Degnan and Fiona Birkbeck's Rebound.

6-7pm Filmpoems including Rowan McCabe, CHris Stewart, Valerie Laws, Jane Burn and James Wilkinson.

7-9pm Spoken word and acoustic songwriters and every combination in between. Including Pipe Riot, Nev Clay, Ira Lightman, Sky Hawkins, AJ Mckenna, Steve Urwin, Alix Bromwich-Alexandra, Jeff Potts, Emma Whitehall, Rowan McCabe and Mark Speeding.

9-11pm Bands confirmed so far Gilded Thieves and Pikey Beatz.

11-1am DJs sets from Craig Wilson from basicfm and Juli Watson of Amok Radio Show on Pride Radio North East.icket Price £6 before 14th October.
