2014 has seen Tongue Fu tour the UK, South Africa and Brazil. The final show of the year at Rich Mix continues in this vein with a very special bill of internationally celebrated spoken word and comedy superheroes – all performing with improvised musical mayhem from The Tongue Fu Band (Nostalgia 77, Puppini Sisters) and films from CR&D.

Buddy Wakefield: Three times World Slam Champion from Seattle, star of HBO’s Def Poetry Jam and signed to Ani DiFranco’s Righteous Babe Records, he has toured the planet relentlessly for the past ten years performing everywhere from Zimbabwe to Sydney to New Orleans. World Champ. C’mon!

Toni Stuart: Poet, performer and literary light of Cape Town. In 2013, she was named in the Mail and Guardian’s list of 200 Inspiring Young South Africans for her work in co-founding ‘I Am Somebody!’ – an NGO using storytelling and youth development to build integrated communities. Benny Boot: Australian comic blurring the lines between reality and hyper reality. Like a more relaxed Mitch Hedberg. The Scotsman described him as “one of the best joke writers in the country”.
