“Cheap Signaling: Class Conflict and Poetic Diction”: Lecture by Daniel Tiffany
In this talk, Daniel Tiffany confronts, reinvigorates, and complicates the conversation about class in contemporary poetics. His critical books include Infidel Poetics: Riddles, Nightlife, Substance and My Silver Planet: A Secret History of Kitsch and Poetry, a nominee for the Pegasus Prize in Poetry Criticism. He is a Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Southern California.
Presented by the History and Forms of Lyric Series and the Program in Poetry and Poetics.
