Poetry off the Shelf: Middle East Poetry Festival
Peace! In these troubled times, we will ever achieve peace for ourselves, our families, our community, our world? Hear Iraqi and other Middle Eastern poets describe what peace means to them in their own language. The Iraqi Mutual Aid Society is pleased to hold the Third Annual Poetry Festival again in collaboration with Poetry Foundation. Please join us to experience this vibrant oral poetic tradition. English translations will be available. A reception will follow the event.
