The South Yorkshire Poetry Festival is a week-long programme of poetry events in Sheffield and around South Yorkshire, culminating in performances at the Showroom Workstation from award-winning artists including Kei Miller, Liz Berry, Patience Agbabi, Claire Pollard and Barnsley’s own Ian McMillan. The South Yorkshire Poetry Festival follows two successful Sheffield Poetry Festivals in 2011 and 2013 which showcased work by local writers and established poets from the UK and Ireland. This year, we’ve extended the scope of the festival to reflect the wealth of poetry events going on across the region.
