Created by pianist Inna Faliks, Music/Words is an interdisciplinary performance series that explores the connections between poetry and music in the form of a live recital and reading.

Since her debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Inna Faliks has performed on many of the world’s great stages with orchestras, in solo appearances, and with conductors such as Leonard Slatkin and Keith Lockhart She is currently Head of Piano and Professor of Piano at UCLA. Jesse Ball is a prize-winning novelist and poet and the author of many books, most recently Silence Once Begun (Pantheon, 2014). He is on the faculty at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
