The Arena Theatre and the University of Wolverhampton are delighted to welcome acclaimed poet Liz Berry for an evening of poetry and conversation. Liz's soaring, lyrical first collection, Black Country (Chatto & Windus, 2014), with its "assured use of Midlands dialect", has won her many fans and plaudits. Black Country is the winner of the 2014 Forward Prize for Best First Collection and was chosen as a Poetry Book of the Year by The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Big Issue and The Morning Star.

Liz is supported by Rosie Miles, launching her debut poetry pamphlet CUTS (HappenStance). Rosie has been described as a poet "who can be both funny and sad with equal poise" and a "name to watch". Rosie lives in Birmingham where she has a poem etched into King's Heath Urban Village Square. She has an MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) and teaches English at the University of Wolverhampton.

Come and join us to hear Liz reading and in conversation on her 'home territory' in what promises to be a memorable evening. Tickets available online from the Arena Theatre or by ringing the Box Office (01902) 321321.
