BE SPOKEN AND SPOUT!
Come down and share your voice with us.
This is a three round slam; Judges chosen from the audience face the unenviable task of having to choose the most talented performers to go through to the next round.
The poet emerging with the most points at the end receives a £25 prize, and is invited back the following month to perform as a feature poet.
Besides that, we have some amazing features to top and tail the evening!

Be Spoken. AND SPOUT!
19th August 2015
This month featuring:
Poetcurious
Pretty much (in)famous around the poetry scene, Poetcurious brings his intense verbal energy and social consciousness into everything he does...
"Rhymin' since day... curious is a multi-tasking microphone vandal. Hiphop poetry is the dish of the day. Whether served fresh acapella or over baking hot beats, the elements of this feast are best enjoyed raw. Catch a portion of curious online or on stage, spitting like a pig on a spit roast."
Asabi Hawah
Ms Asabi Hawah, a lyrical poetess...her stunning words are set to beautiful soulful sounds, that have audiences in awe at her creativity and ability to capture life’s gifts. Together with an angelic voice that sensitively frames her lyrics, Ms Hawah can only be described as a flawless performer.
For a preview, see her here: http://youtu.be/yEO_MQxNf7Q
and Mark 'MrT' Thompson.
An impressive contributor to the Spoken Word scene, Mark Thompson blends his vast experience of drama and poetry to explore the quirks and paradoxes of identity politics. Sometimes serious, sometimes light-hearted, and ALWAYS entertaining, there is a reason this man is considered a pillar of the spoken word community.
