In September George’s has teamed up with the National Beat Poetry Festival and the Bolton Socialist Club to bring a one-off special event in celebration of Beat poetry.

The National Beat Poetry Festival is the largest celebration of the Beat legacy in history and one of the world’s largest poetry festivals. They are holding around sixty five events in total, which are being held in every one of the fifty American states, and in cities and towns across the globe from Tokyo to Edinburgh.

The Greater Manchester night will take place at the Bolton Socialist Club on Wednesday the 9th of September and will host the incredible talent of Manchester poet John G.Hall , as well as Kerouac style haikus read by Dave Morgan and accompanied by Kevin Bates on saxophone, with another guest to be confirmed.

Open mic slots also available, so if you want to be part of this global event, and have your recorded performance on the festival’s website, then reserve your slot now.
