Only a few days before it's back with a bang. Red Shed Readings, Wakefield's first and foremost spoken word event celebrates its eighth year. Or it might be the ninth, we can't remember. OK, and maybe there won't be a bang, but there will be a lute player and two excellent guest readers, John Foggin and Jodie Smith-Richardson, plus open mics, corrupt quiz and the best audience in the world. NO gimmicks, NO gizmos, no funding, but that's never stopped it from being the original and best. Get thee down there and enjoy. Tell your friends. Tell your enemies. Tell the people you're not quite sure about including the ones you're nice to but really even less sure about. It really doesn't matter, the more the merrier, but then again we've never cared about bums on seats either.
7.30pm Red Shed, Vicarage Street, Thursday 8th October. National Poetry Day too. How apt.

Price: £4.00 / £2.00

Time: 7:30pm
