A long running and popular event with also many associated companion events taking place throughout the region . Poets , musicians , dramatists and anyone for that matter that has anything interesting to share with a warm and appreciative audience is welcome . Taking place upon the first Monday of each month (except bank holidays - second Monday ) The Egg cafe provides the perfect backdrop for all creatives alike being voted regularly as liverpools premier vegetation cafe/restraunt whilst also incorporating a totally unique art gallery . Performers are encouraged to arrive from 7pm and simply add their name to the list . Why not bring your own bottle of wine (£1 corkage) and simply sit back and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere that only the host Tony Kehoe and the staff at The Egg cafe can provide .
