Superheroes Slam

Superheroes prize slam. Write Out Loud has joined forces with Huddersfield University Creative Writing team to bring a heat of this fabulous slam to Huddersfield. Everyone has just 3 minutes at the mic to wow the judges, who will be awarding points. On the night, there will be two rounds so bring two poems. If you are confident, bring a third to read to us in celebration as you brandish your cheque. First prize winner goes on to the grand final in Manchester on 23rd October, where the winner receives a week on an Arvon Course, worth over £700. And the title, Superhero of Slam. Past winners have gone on to fame and acclaim, such as Louise Fazackerley, who says: slams were a big part of my development because I heard new poets from different areas with new voices and it was so inspirational.
