Book Launch and Performance

Louise Taylor aka Iona Jette, performance poet
& Louise Larchbourne, poet, actor & editor

Come expecting “An eccentric mix of observation comedy and insightful poetry!” (Short Fuse, The Camden Head) and the possibility of Louise being mistaken for “A filthy Diana Rigg!” (Collin Kelly, US Poet, novelist, playwright and journalist).

Louise has performed at some of the UK’s biggest festivals; headlined at spoken word venues and being Scottish, Iona and Louise have also colonised the airwaves on BBC, Talkback and London Network Radio. And of course they’ve been found at parties, salons, and cabarets.

Taking to the stage as well will be Louise’s professional editor; Oxford based poet and actor, Louise Larchbourne. A member of 2014’s 52 group and Oxford Back Room Poets, Louise regularly reads her work at poetry events in Oxford and beyond; and is currently gathering her own collection. Her poem ‘The Young King’ is in the 52 anthology. She is an editor of Jane Burn’s online poetry journal The Fat Damsel and writes and performs regularly in ‘Poetry in the Museum’ at the Ashmolean Museum.
