Gladys Mary Coles and the Piazza Poets commemorate Wilfred Owen;
plus a reading by Alison Chisholm
Gladys Mary Coles will lead a tribute to Wilfred Owen with poems from her prize-winning collection Song of the Butcher Bird (Flambard, 2007), and her novel Clay (2010), set in the Great War period. She is joined by her group, the Piazza Poets, with their poems 'in the spirit of Wilfred Owen'.
Award-winning, Southport based Alison Chisholm will read from her collection Hold Tight (Headland 2008) and more recent poems. Alison is well-known for her texts and teaching on poetic form, and is the poetry expert for the monthly magazine Writing.
