For centuries, poetry was the propaganda of politics, used by governments to curry favour, and used by its rivals to start revolutions. So what do today’s poets have to say about life in the 21st century? Poet in the City brings the boldest contemporary voices to Luton to deliver social manifestos in poetry for an uncompromised and truthful take on the world today. Look out for Caroline Bird, Anthony Anaxagorou, Dean Atta and Deanna Rodger as they tackle issues from austerity to human rights, and everything in between.

For ages 16+

Price: £5.00

Time: 3:45pm
