A Poem and a Pint

This event on 11th June 2016 has past.

Open Mic Event

Contact: antonychristie@aol.com

An evening of poetry and music. The poet will be the elusive but much sought after J.O.Morgan who lives on a small farm in the Scottish Borders. His first book won the Aldeburgh First Collection Prize, and his latest collection 'Interference Pattern' was chosen as The Observer's Poetry Book of the Month for this February. He writes bracingly original poetry that addresses everything from bullies to the big bang. The musicians are The Demix, Rod Demick and his wife Sarah Littlefeather favourite Poem and a Pint performers, individually or together. They will bring you well-worn-in songdom in the style of Folkestry. All this, plus the unpredictability of the open mic talent and MC Mark Carson will make for a memorable evening's entertainment.

Price: £5.00. (£5.00 (£4.00 concessions))

Time: 7.30 p.m.
