After nearly 7 years at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, The Jazz Verse Jukebox has a new home from Friday 29th April 2016, in the newly restored Hoxton Hall in the heart of London’s East End and continues its remit to bring jazz & poetry together in extraordinary ways.
Held on the last Friday of the month from the 29th April, the JAZZ VERSE JUKEBOX is the brainchild of the Award winning Broadcaster and Vocalist, Jumoké Fashola. It continues the age-old tradition of intertwining jazz and performance poetry, offering an opportunity to hear some of the best established and up & coming performance poets; celebrity guests reading their favourite poetry and live jazz; plus a unique ‘jukebox’ OPEN MIC, allowing the audience to showcase their skills of jazz improvisation or spoken word.
'Stimulate the senses, sooth the soul and energise the eardrums!'
