At the end of a day of live poetry we are delighted to welcome Lemn Sissay to perform some of his poems. Lemn Sissay MBE has published both books and plays. His Landmark Poems are installed throughout Manchester and London. His poem ‘Guilt of Cain’ was unveiled by Bishop Desmond Tutu in Fen Court near Fenchurch St Station. Lemn was the first poet
commissioned to write for the London Olympics. Among many distinctions, he is an associate artist at Southbank Centre, patron of The Letterbox Club and The Reader Organisation, an ambassador for The Children’s Reading Fund and Chancellor of Manchester University. Sissay is also a trustee of the Forward Arts Foundation, an inaugural trustee of World Book Night and an honorary doctor of letters.
