Hello Hello, we're kicking off our next installment of Just Write Speaks with headliners Gemma Lees and Paul Jenkins!
First things first, It's the HALLOWEEN EDITION! FANCY DRESS IS ENCOURAGED. (We didn't let Keri-Ann Moriarty say that it was mandatory)
Gemma is a superb poet, screenwriter and author who has numerous books out both for adults and children as well as numerous poetry collections.
She is regularly involved in community arts projects and has hosted and coordinated poetry events of her own.
She has raised awareness and funds for numerous charities and worked closely with people who suffer with physical and mental health issues as well as those with low literacy levels.
Much of Gemma’s work covers her own personal experiences of homelessness, mental health problems, dyslexia and dyspraxia and her Romany Gypsy heritage.
She is an excellent wordsmith with a wealth of experience and character which translates superbly to the stage.

Paul is an author, poet and former teacher who got under the fence and escaped the classroom in 2014.
His debut novel, 'Requires Improvement' was launched in May and his first collection of poetry 'Poems from Villagetown' focussing on the delightful Village/Town of Ramsbottom was released in October.
Paul has written for the National Literacy Trust, the BBC and the Bolton Octagon and in January next year will be supporting Ian Mcmillan and Tony Husband as they bring their own literary travelling circus to Rammy.

As always, there is a suggested donation of £1 and for that you get a pompom bookmark and or lollypop if you're naturally suspicious of books and bookmarks... which, hey, we all are right? So pagey and leathery... often coated in the skin of our enemies... we have open mic slots available. These can be requested via this page or by turning up early on the night. It's first come first served too so book early to avoid disappointment.
