Ballabajoomba Poetry Slam & Open Mic

1) Sign-up at 8:00 p.m. followed up with an open mic, feature, and a slam. The list is closed when 12 poets sign up.
2) Poets perform poems of their own construction, any style or subject, 100% free speech. No props, costumes, musical accompaniment, or animal acts are allowed. 3'10" time limit.
3) A group of five judges selected from the audience scores each poem on a scale of 0.0 - 10.0, considering both content and performance. Poets, this is it, our audience is our master!! High and low scores are dropped, middle three are added together, the perfect score is 30.0.
4) High scores advance to the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
5) A winner gets $10, a free dinner from the Tango Tea Room, and two cups of coffee.
Suggested donation $3 will help to pay our winners and featured poets and will help the Ballabajoomba Slam Team to travel to national and state events.
