The launch event for Rosie's highly anticipated new poetry collection, As in Judy, featuring many of her award-winning works.
6pm - 8pm (doors 5.30pm), Manchester Central Library. A free event with special guests.
Rosie Garland is a writer, poet, novelist and singer with The March Violets (she also has a well known alter ego, Rosie Lugosi). Her numerous awards include both the Alternative Oscar and Diva awards for solo performer, the DaDa award for performance art, and the People's Cafe poetry award in New York. Her acclaimed novels The Palace of Curiosities and Vixen were published by The Borough Press, part of HarperCollins Publishers, and her first poetry collection with Flapjack Press, Things I Did While I Was Dead, was published in 2010. As in Judy is her first collection since 2012's Everything Must Go.
