Sean O’Brien is one of our most important poets, as well as a respected novelist and critic.
This evening Sean will be discussing his writing process – how a poem begins, where he finds inspiration, and how he hones the work from beginning thoughts to completed drafts.
The event will be hosted by Tamar Yoseloff, editor of Hercules Editions, publishers of O’Brien’s chapbook Hammersmith, and Jill Abram, creator of the Stablemates series and Director of Malika’s Poetry Kitchen, in conjunction with Waterstone’s Piccadilly.
Hammersmith, which Nick Papadimitriou has called ‘a perfect miniature Paterson that renders a troubled suburb timeless’ will be available on the night for the special price of £8 (reduced from £10) in addition to O’Brien’s recent publications. We’ll be taking questions from the audience, and the author will be signing copies of his books after the event.
To submit a question for Sean, please email poetryevents@btinternet.com
