An evening of poetry and music with guests poet Tom Weir and singer/songwriter Emma Nabarro-Steel.
Tom Weir was featured in the 2012 anthology: Lung Jazz; Young British Poets for Oxfam and has been shortlisted for the Melita Hume prize. He was highly commended in the 2014 National Poetry Competition and the 2015 Forward Prize. The Outsider won the 2014 Templar IOTA shots competition. His first full collection, All That Falling, was published by Templar in 2015.
Emma Nabarro-Steel's early career as a Jazz vocalist has been followed by a recent flurry of song-writing prompting an album release. Leaving a Space, a song-cycle about the problem with writing songs and the perils of getting lost, was written, performed and recorded as an entirely solo project in the first half of 2016. As well as performing extensively, Emma has lectured in voice at Leeds College of Music.
