Join Siana Bangura for an afternoon exploring how writers of colour have traditionally and historically used poetry in their rebellion. With a special focus on women of colour and Black women, you will be introduced to writers who have used language to raise consciousness and re-imagine the status quo.
There will also be writing time towards the end of the workshop to allow attendees to begin exploring their own poetics of resistance.
Please bring pens, papers, notebooks or tablets – whatever you’d like to write on.
Spaces are limited to 10 attendees only. Tickets available here http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-poetics-of-resistance-using-language-to-subvert-the-status-quo-tickets-33295855801
