Try your hand at the Caffe Grande Slam, Dudley's only monthly poetry evening! You have a 3 min slot to entertain and dazzle, emote, display, perform or just read. Scores are taken by secret ballot and the winner receives a small prize and the right to return the next month for a 10 minute feature slot.
It's a safe environment to try new material, get some feedback or just sit back and enjoy the poetry. it's free to get in and we pass the bucket for voluntary donations.
We also have a headline poet each month - an established performer on the Midlands poetry scene who is there for your pure poetry enjoyment.
So why not come on down and see some poets in action or take part in the slam. Doors open at 7:00pm and the event starts promptly at 7:30pm.
