Experimental poetry in Manchester with Thomas A. Clark & Matthew Welton. Details of both below. More at http://otherrrom.org
Thomas A Clark lives in a fishing village on the east coast of Scotland where, with the artist Laurie Clark he runs Cairn Gallery, a space for minimal and conceptual art. In addition to his three books from Carcanet Press, on the experience of walking in the highlands and islands, the numerous cards and small books from his own Moschatel Press explore presentation as an aspect of form.
Matthew Welton's poems take a playful approach to imagery, structure, and the sounds of the language. His recent publications include Squid Squad (Moschatel), Five pieces, each of 250 words (If a Leaf Falls), and The Number Poems (Carcanet), which was named as a book of the year by the Poetry School and The Irish Times. Matthew Welton is from Nottingham and teaches creative writing at the University of Nottingham.
