Scottish makar, Jackie Kay, headlines this spectacular evening of poetry, featuring an unrivalled line-up of artists that cuts across the cultural divide and brings together an eclectic range of poetic style and artistic voice from around the world.
Inspired by traditional mehfils – gatherings of courtly entertainment performed for small audiences in the homes and palaces of South Asian nobility – it is a unique chance to experience a range of different voices and hear new and unfamiliar poetic verse in a cosy and intimate setting.
Accompanying Jackie Kay in our acclaimed line-up are Aviva Dautch, Raymond Antrobus, Jo Brandon, Lorna Goodison, Naeem Haider, Shazea Quraishi and Steven Camden aka Polarbear.
