Scribblers ahoy!

We are booked into the Snug at The Royal Oak on the first Sunday in July, 2nd. Please note the earlier time that recently. The 16.30 start is to allow a buffer of one hour between the end of the workshop and the beginning of the pub quiz. Hopefully, this will reduce the likelihood of people arriving early to get a good seat and table for the quiz interrupting the workshop.
Now I have come to a new understanding with the manager of the pub to hand over £5 to reserve a room for the workshop, I do hope you will support the workshop.
As usual, please bring five or six copies of your work or excerpt, which ought not to exceed 2,000 words or 4 pages of A4. Please also bring £2 if you are waged, otherwise £1.
Please don't feel that this workshop is only for finished work. It is particularly for writers in the midst of writing, especially if they are stuck over something or if they are unhappy with some aspect of their work.
Please note the ethos of the workshop is to support writers in their writing. This means do please try to keep your comments about and criticism of fellow-participants' positive. We don't want to send anyone away discouraged, but fired up to continue their work, refine it or start something new!
Please note I will dig around for a suitable writing exercise to introduce into the proceedings, but only if there is a lull in the proceeedings. Please feel free to suggest exercises to me. But remember: your work comes first!
