A pair of the finest contemporary poets of recent times come together to read and discuss their work with Mia Gallagher. Forward Poetry Prize winners Michael Symmons Roberts and Sinéad Morrissey take inspiration from the cities where they live. Michael Symmons Roberts' latest collection Mancunia reminds us that we live in cities imaginatively and "actually". In On Balance, Sinéad Morrissey is at home in Belfast for the most part, exploring the deep gravitational forces that hold the world together. Prize-winning author, Mia Gallagher's latest novel Beautiful Pictures of the Lost Homeland is set in Dublin, its characters are also searching for answers allowing their minds to roam beyond Ireland, to Berlin, Bohemia and Brighton. All three remind us that we are sometimes painfully adjacent to our lives, shallow-rooted, trying to take hold.
