Open Mic Event

An evening of poetry and music featuring Carlisle poet Jacob Polley who now teaches at Newcastle University. His 2016 collection, Jackself, tells of two boys growing up in rural North Cumbria. It won the T.S.Eliot prize and was described as a firework of a book. It will be the focus of his reading. He will be supported by live music from the semi-acoustic duo Further to Fly, with their original songs and classy covers, and open mic readings - sign up at the door for available slots - all skillfully moderated by the gentle wit of M/C Mark Carson.

Price: £5.00. (£5 (£4 concessions))

Time: 7:30pm (doors open 19.00)
