Hi Scribblers,
Hope you're having a happy Eastertide, happily counting the Omer, enjoying the spring flowers and warmer weather, and/or merrily scribbling as your personal, private devotion.
Co-op Writers York Workshop are holding a writers workshop in the top floor of the Eagle and Child pub on High Petergate, York, 7.30-10.30 on Sunday, 6th May, the 5th after Easter, 37 days into the Omer (since Passover).
No guest star published writers doing presentations this month. It's down to you again, my friends or anyone you want to bring along who respects our ethos of support of writers in their writing.
We welcome anyone who writes, whatever you ambition/intention for your writing, provided it respects or is consistent with our ethos of not being threatening or disrespecting other writers present. This social consideration is important.
We also welcome work that overlaps with or draws on non-literary art, for instance, music or graphic art. Although our leading lines are poetry and short stories or excerpts from novels, we welcome other forms, such as sketches for stage, songs and song lyrics, essays and reviews.
Please bring 5 or 6 copies of your work, which ought not to exceed 2,000 words or 4 sides of A4, and £2 if you're waged, otherwise £1.
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, 6th May, from 7.30pm.
Wishing you happy springtime and much creativity.
Adrian
Price: £2.00. (£2 (waged), £1 (unwaged))
Time: 7:30pm (Ends 22:30)
