TICKETS £5 on the door. Enquiries and seat reservations can be made by emailing: thepurpleroom 416@gmail.com
Nick Allen’s poetry has appeared in various magazines and anthologies - most recently, the Poetry Salzburg Review, Verse Matters and Un/Forced: a collection of writing from Rhubarb. His first pamphlet, the necessary line, was published by Half Moon Books of Otley, in October. He helps organise the open mic evening, Rhubarb, at the Triangle in Shipley, the last Wednesday of each month. He was a sub-editor with the on-line poetry magazine Algebra of Owls. He derives most of his sustenance from malt whisky and good espressos.
Andy Buncall combines acoustic guitar/piano with lo-fi textured beats, effects and harmonies, his lyrics are always centred around an emotional longing and confused grappling with issues such as mortality, depression, politics, reincarnation and the many realms we occupy spiritually and mentally along our paths to making sense of the world we live in. Despite all this he always has a smile on his face!
