A performance by five actors of the long poem 'May Days', directed by Simone Vause.
'May Days' has been described by one reviewer as “magnificent ... carefully crafted and deeply felt verse” (http://www.counterfire.org/articles/book-reviews/19321-a-moment-of-disbelief-poems-on-war-terrorism-and-refugees-book-review).
Inspired by Shelley’s 'The Masque of Anarchy', it is a poem about our times which was begun just two days before the Grenfell Tower fire, and so it inevitably turned on that disaster, much as Shelley’s poem turned on the Peterloo massacre.
Entry: Tickets are free but we are asking the audience to bring donations for a Grenfell charity.
Time: 6:00pm (About 20 minutes long, so no late entry)
