Scribblers ahoy!
Co-op Writers' York will be holding a writers' workshop at The Eagle and Child on High Petergate, York on Sunday 8th July.
No guest writers will be giving presentations this month, though there may be one or two lurking in the shadows nursing a beer or may be a Pimms. It's down to you! Or anyone you want to bring along who respects our ethos of support of writers in their writing.
We welcome anyone who writes whatever your ambition or intention, provided it respects and is consistent with our ethos of not being threatening or disrespecting other writers present. This social consideration is very important.
We also welcome work that overlaps with or draws on non-literary art - music or graphic art, for instance. Although our leading lines are poetry, short stories or excerpts from novels, we welcome other forms (such as sketches for stage, songs and song lyrics, or essays and reviews).
Please bring along five or six copies of your work, which ought not to exceed 2,000 words or four sides of A4.
Entry: £2/£1 unwaged
Time: 7:30pm
